Welcome! I'm Eyal Ron, and this site is my personal logbook — a place where I document the projects, journeys, and hobbies I love, and share them with anyone who enjoys the same things.
Over the years it has grown into a collection of detailed build write-ups, travel stories, and maps, gathered around three main themes:
The vehicles — a Land Rover Discovery and a Toyota Land Cruiser 80, built and equipped for self-reliant overland travel, alongside a BMW GS motorcycle. You'll find step-by-step documentation of the modifications, repairs, and custom-built systems — from the winch and drawers to a full in-car computer.
The trips — off-road and overland journeys across Israel and Sinai and far beyond, including Australia and Botswana, complete with route maps, equipment lists, and stories from the road.
The climbs — a map of climbing sites and notes from rock-climbing outings.
