Stabilizer Bar Disconnect

 

I saw the prices for a custom-made and decided to make it myself.

 

Reviewing the threads on the forum and gathering ideas from browsing the internet.
A little refreshment on 3D drawing and using the software AutoCad Inventor (the software, by the way, is recommended for any idea that is floating around in your head and needs visualization) and there are drawings with dimensions.
Reviewing all parts, identifying problematic points, performing stress calculations, and moving on to the lathe.

 

All the parts in the prototype (the only one made) were lathed from stainless steel, both to avoid rust that could seize the parts and for visual reasons. The pins are currently 5/16 inches in diameter. In case there is play, it will be possible to increase to a 3/8-inch pin by drilling and replacing the safety pin. The pins have an inch size due to being imported from the U.S. (I couldn't find them locally).

 

All parts have been chamfered for smooth handling. The bushing is drilled along its entire length to allow air and dirt to escape, and it has steps inside to reduce stress on the pin and for easy assembly. The threading is metric (M10), and nyloc nuts are used to prevent unintentional loosening. Extra attention was paid to eliminating all play between the parts while allowing easy assembly and disassembly.
